On May 5, an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Kaliningrad Region began at the Friedland Gate Museum. Elena Dyatlova, Head of the Kaliningrad City District Administration, Andrey Ermak, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Kaliningrad Region, and other distinguished guests congratulated the guests on its opening.
The exhibition "They were the first" is dedicated to the founders of the post—war region - the first settlers who, without always having qualifications, restored industry, science, culture and sports, and raised a city destroyed by war from the ruins. To the people who created the foundation of modern Kaliningrad. More than 50 enterprises are represented at the exhibition, and the museum space has become one of the streets of post-war Kaliningrad.
The Atlantic Branch of Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, together with the Atlantic Fleet Base of the IO RAS, participated in the exhibition, presenting oceanological instruments, rare photographs, archival documents and geological samples related to the history of marine research of the World Ocean. Employees of JSC IO RAS Bambizov G.A., Babakov A.N., Chechko V.A., as well as Demenina A.B., Naimushin V.A., Matrosov A.A. took an active part in the training.
